外國(guó)人眼中的寧波：英國(guó)企業(yè)給出首選寧波的5大理由

Very few Brits have heard of Ningbo．  Maybe I am bias － as I lived in the city for 18 months －but I strongly believe Ningbo should be top of the list   for British businesses who are looking to get a foothold in the China market． 

Why？

1. A clear British link： Thanks to the University of Nottingham’s strong and established presence in Ningbo it gives British business an advantage． This is a unique link which no other city in China has． People in Ningbo are knowledgable and positive about the UK．   The university＇s business engagement team gives support and advice for both British and Chinese companies to help bridge the gap．

2.Logistics：The Ningbo－Zhoushan port is the busiest in the world！ Much of China’s import and export goes through this   dock． For a company which trades goods， Ningbo is a logical place to set up！

3.Close to Shanghai but better quality of life： Thanks to the Hangzhou Bay Bridge （the same length as the British Channel） it takes 2．5 hours to get to Shanghai． As the ‘business capital’ it is important have easy access to Shanghai． By setting up in Ningbo， business  people can make a trip to Shanghai with little effort whilst enjoying the benefits of  a smaller city such as cheaper rent， better quality of life （eg air quality and access to green  space） and the fact that there is less international competitors based in Ningbo．

4. One of China’s most affluent cities： For companies looking to tap into the Chinese   consumer market， Ningbo is very well situated． If Zhejiang （Ningbo’s province） was a   country it would be ranked 24th in the world． Four of the top 20 richest cities are less   than 3 hours away （Ningbo， Hangzhou， Shanghai and Wenzhou）．

5． Educated work force： Thanks to the University of Nottingham’s campus， each year a  thousand or so British educated Chinese students graduate． This makes Ningbo one of  the best places to recruit highly skilled people with an understanding of how business is  done in the UK／the west．

All five points are impressive in their own right．Ningbo＇s real USP for British business is the fact the University of Nottingham has set up an established network． They have paved the way   for more businesses to take advantage of the positive attitudes to British business in    Ningbo． With plans for the China British Business Council to set up an office and      incubator space close the the university， there there will soon be a clear route for    businesses to easily establish themselves in this fantastic city！

4.中國(guó)最富裕的城市之一對(duì)于想敲開(kāi)中國(guó)消費(fèi)市場(chǎng)大門的公司，寧波有著非常好的地理位置。如果浙江省是一個(gè)國(guó)家，她（富裕程度）將會(huì)是世界排名第24名。中國(guó)最富有的20個(gè)城市中的4個(gè)城市，相互之間的距離都小于3小時(shí)車程（這些城市是寧波、杭州、上海、溫州）。
